BCK-2008: Free Knowledge Market. Barcelona April 3-5 2008
Content:
The BCK is based on an open organization model which takes into account cooperation dynamics, process documentation techniques and shared responsability between all participating members.
Anyone interested in taking part in the BCK's internal organization structure (teams), offering/demanding knowledge or helping produce content for the website (knowledge capsules) is welcome to do so.
Knowledge offers and demands
You may send knowledge offers and demands via email or publish them on this website. We will be gathering proposals up until March 31st 2008. A selection of these will become part of the activities programme in the Free Knowledge Market, that will take place from April 3rd to 5th in the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona.
Capsule production
Knowledge exchanges are registered and published on the website to facilitate their diffusion. We call these recordings "capsules".
Production of new capsules can be done independently or in collaboration with the BCK's own audiovisual production team. All text, audio and video productions made public on the BCK will be under a copyleft license that will state collective or individual authorship and all the necessary info regarding its (free) distribution.
The BCK's organization
The BCK is organized in work groups we call teams. Each team is responsible for one particular task: graphic design, space design, broadcasting and documentation of the BCK events, audiovisual production of knowledge capsules, etc. This self-organized team structure facilitates collective production and learning and emphasizes the importance of sharing resources, ideas and knowledge.
If you would like to be part of the organization you are welcome to visit the BCK's office at the Antic Teatre (Plaça de Joan Coromines in the Raval area in Barcelona, right next to CCCB) or send an email to contact us.
